Thank you, Giselle, from my whole family for treating us as you would like to be treated. Words cannot express the gratitude.

My daughter had a c-section and my granddaughter was struggling the following day to breathe. Giselle noticed the breathing difficulties and struggling. She called for help and got my granddaughter to NICU. My daughter had a difficult time letting baby leave her side; however, Giselle reassured her everything was going to be alright, and that dad could go and stay with baby. Giselle had not known that I was the grandma. I have worked for PeaceHealth for many years and know Giselle both as a coworker and as a patient. When I came to visit, she was shocked I was grandma. I was not shocked that the RN who pushed for my granddaughter's care was Giselle.

A few years ago, I had a baby in FBC. My son had an ECHO done of the heart due to a possible Tricuspid valve leak seen in utero. The ECHO not only showed the leak but a possible coart of the aortic valve. Giselle was my RN and she came in with a NICU bed and had to transfer my son to NICU for further observation. She explained to me what was going on and calmed me down. She took me to the NICU later and made sure I was taken care of both emotionally and physically. She went above and beyond not only with my care and my baby's but also my daughter's and granddaughter's care. (Yes, there is a 20-year age gap between my son and my daughter) I was so impressed by her excellent care and faithful devotion to her patients care. Giselle Aschoff deserves to win this award; in my opinion she is the standard all the RN's should aspire to be. Thank you, Giselle, from my whole family for treating us as you would like to be treated. Words cannot express the gratitude. Continue being you, amazing!
