I had a lot of anxiety when I was recently hospitalized due to my Dr. having to take me off a heart medicine we thought was going to fix the rhythm of my heart. I was extremely disappointed in the news and within the hour of being told this my heart started to race and pound. I thought it was anxiety over the worry of what I was going to do now. Emily consoled me and tried to calm my fears in a very compassionate manner. She is truly a very caring nurse and you can tell she is one that really loves being a nurse and caring for her patients.
During the night she studied my heart rate watching it go from fast to slow to fast again. Most importantly she acted on what she saw by calling my Dr. and alerting her to what she was seeing. I feel it is because of Emily that my Dr. found my underlying heart problem. Emily is a very special nurse and the patients of Regional Health are very lucky to have her! I will never forget her! Thank you so much Emily! YOU are one in a million!
