Elaine explained how my body needed rest after what I had encountered, and she was right.
At approximately 4:30 am I was brought to the ER due to my hemoglobin being low from loss of blood. I wasn't admitted but I spent more than half my day in the hospital. I lost a great amount of blood, so I had to receive a few bags. Everyone during my visit was extremely nice and I appreciate the care given.
However, one nurse stood out and her name tag read Elaine. She educated me on my condition and the steps I need to take to care of myself. I wanted to get the 2 bags of blood and go from the hospital to work but she advised against that decision. She explained how my body needed rest after what I had encountered, and she was right.
My IV in my hand was hurting; Mrs. Elaine immediately looked at it until she made it feel better. I drifted to sleep and when I woke up she was right there smiling. Mrs. Elaine was just a godsend for me. I could tell she has been a Nurse for a long time, and she has a passion for what she does when it comes to her patients.
So today, I took the time out to write about my experience at JRMC and to nominate the Nurse that made my bad experience due to my visit there into a great and peaceful one. She showed me she sincerely cared.
