Daisy was very understanding and didn't rush me even though I was not her only patient. She listened to everything I said and got an understanding of what I was saying before trying to attempt to move me at all. When I finally used the bedpan I got my gown a little wet and she was so kind and patient to change me and assist in all I needed. She helped me feel better.

Kindness in every detail! She is just the kindest person and wanted to make me comfortable. The first night she asked me what my needs were and I said "sleep" and "bowel movement". She set out on a mission to make them happen. Organized delivery of medications, vitals, etc. so I could sleep.

She is an incredible nurse. As a coworker, she is constantly on the lookout for her patients' needs. She cares for her patients with compassion and respect. Her teamwork is amazing. She calls when there is any need for assistance. She works hard to ensure that her patients are well cared for by each person who interacts with and provides support care. As a patient, she goes above and beyond. She made sure that every need is addressed. She coordinates care with her nursing assistant to provide as much sleep as possible. She looks over the situation and decides what needs to be done. She provides a comprehensive assessment and then follows up on the needs identified. Being a patient provides an incredible perspective. She is a true DAISY Nurse.

She explained everything that was going on: meds, procedures, etc. She provided a family food tray and shower supplies to me. She discussed pain management and goals. Understanding we were not from here, she was very caring for me and my family, assisting with all of our needs. She made us feel at home. And was extremely thoughtful. She grouped her visits and meds so my husband and I could sleep. She educated us on pain management and inflammatory response. She is the kind of nurse who makes people want to become nurses!!!

She has been my night-time companion. She has delivered all my care with as much tenderness as possible each and every time I've needed her. She genuinely cares for those in her charge. She is firm but gentle. She celebrated every victory and was encouraging at every defeat. I don't think I could point out a single event why I nominated her to be honest. All of the events would require many more pages than I have here! She is an amazing representative of this hospital and the nursing profession! Thank you, Daisy, from the bottom of my working lungs!!!
