I want to take the time to recognize, applaud your employee on D9, Connor. My 3-year-old son is a frequent flier (monthly admittance) to that unit and does well with all the nurses, however, Connor stands out. So much so that when D is not in the hospital he not only mentions Connor's name often but when playing dress up with his older sister he excitedly chooses to play "Nurse Connor."
Over recent months our family has undergone major life-changing events along with my son's recent diagnosis of IPH. It's been a tough up and down road, however, to have the consistent, loving care and a warm smile from Connor and the rest of your staff, it's made everything more manageable.
D has struggled with illness, spending his 1st birthday at Children's, being admitted well over 10 times in the past couple of years. For the many of those admittances, I would spend every night as well as days there, but thankfully because of the home away from home care given by your staff, I feel at ease when having to leave to care for other needs. I cannot tell you how valuable this is to me and my family.
