I was admitted due to an infection resulting from a dog bite. I was moved upstairs after a long night in the Emergency Department. Cindy was my nurse on the evening shift. She was very caring and helpful. She made sure I was comfortable during my stay. She checked on me many times. My room became extremely hot and she assisted my wife opening the windows. She brought me ice and a cold face cloth when I began running a low-grade fever. I know it is expected that nurses care for their patients, but I feel her care went above and beyond what was expected.
Cindy returned after her shift to ensure I was comfortable before she left. I again believe that act went above and beyond! It's that type of care that made my hospital stay a fond memory, versus just an average stay. I wish to express my gratitude and let Cindy know how deeply touched I was by her actions.
