Cindy was taking care of a patient who was quite upset that she was in the hospital and unable to go and buy gifts for her 6 year old daughter’s birthday. Cindy came to work the next day with gifts for the child. She gave them to the patient and told the patient the gifts were for her to give her daughter. Cindy wanted no acknowledgement for her act of kindness. Upon speaking to the patient during a call back, she expressed how Cindy’s actions overwhelmed her with emotion and how touched she was. This is just one example of Cindy’s compassion. She continuously goes above and beyond and definitely deserves the DAISY Award for all she does!
