The child had not eaten breakfast, so Christina took him to the Tower Café (in his Mickey Mouse pajamas) and bought him breakfast.
Christina Norris was working in the Emergency Center when a critical patient was brought in. This patient was 10 weeks pregnant and was actively miscarrying. She needed emergent blood and complex medical care. The patient also had a 2-year-old son with her because she had no one to pick up or care for the child during the medical emergency. The child was too young to understand the condition his mother was in but was so well behaved.
Christina took it upon herself to remove the child from the chaos and make sure he had everything he needed while his mother was incapacitated. The child had not eaten breakfast, so she took him to the Tower Café (in his Mickey Mouse pajamas) and bought him breakfast. She also took him to the gift shop and let him pick out something he could give his mom to make her feel better. These acts of kindness were above and beyond what is required of our nurses, but it shows the compassion this nurse shows her patients every day.
Christina Norris is a great nurse with a positive attitude that is infectious. She loves her job in the EC and finds every opportunity to try and make a difference in someone's life.
