My husband was brought to the ER feeling dizzy, nauseated, and vomiting since 5 am. On arrival to the Emergency room, he was seen by the triage nurse and brought to a room with active vomiting. His primary nurse, Chris Samaha came into the room and got him cleaned up and settled.
Chris and the doctor examined my husband and suspected he was having a stroke. The nurse and doctor went into action and alerted the hospital there was a patient in the Emergency room having a stroke and called a "brain Attack". The entire team acted efficiently getting his blood work done and sent him off to the CT scan within minutes.
Upon my husband's return from the CT scan, Chris got him back to his room quickly and efficiently, got him on the monitor and sat with me and my husband explaining everything to us in full detail. Chris and another nurse gave my husband medication through his IV immediately and monitored him very carefully. Chris never left my husband's side and kept checking him. She kept reassuring us and kept us informed the entire time he was in the ER. My husband's condition rapidly improved after getting the medication. Chris was a true angel that saved my husband's life and we are truly grateful to have her on our side that day.
The entire treatment that my husband and I received was incredible and we feel blessed to have Chris as his nurse. My husband and I would like to commend Chris in particular for being such a compassionate and caring nurse. She exemplifies the nursing community and is a true professional that really care about patient care.
