Chelsea was a bright light in a scary time for our family. My mom came into the hospital on no medications and really no medical problems. To go from that to a serious heart condition is scary. Chelsea took the time to answer every question we had. If she didn't know the answer. She researched it or found someone who did. She was patient when Mom was unsure. When we didn't understand what the doctor had ordered and didn't feel he had looked at the whole picture, Chelsea advocated for us. She asked the doctor to come back and try a new approach. When Mom was scared, she comforted her. She never acted like Mom was just another patient. She was never rushed. She was never impatient or unkind. She always explained what she was doing and why. When Mom was sobbing and scared, Chelsea took the time to console her and even shared personal stories to relate. She was able to calm and reassure her. She was on top of Mom's vitals and meds. She truly embodied everything a nurse should be but it was the personal way she connected with us and went above and beyond that truly made her special to us.

My fiancé B received great care from all nurses during his stay, but one nurse stood out above all others, Chelsea! Chelsea is one of a kind. She listens, remembers, makes eye contact, takes her time, explains in detail instructions and overall shows she truly cares for per patient (even though she has multiple). His "my board" was updated as needed with medication and times. She did an extremely well job of explaining B's story to the next nurse that was coming on duty.
If and when we come to the hospital again, we will recommend Chelsea! She went over and beyond for us 100%.
Thank you, Chelsea, and the rest of the nursing staff! Big thanks to the doctor for removing "Duane Johnson, The Rock, aka stubborn kidney stone".
