Chalyse has been nominated enthusiastically by her nursing faculty. The nursing profession will need leaders such as Ms. Pinon. She has been a clear stand-out amongst her peers. Not only a high-achieving student, she was also involved in various campus organizations with a focus on community involvement. Her enthusiasm and compassion in her nursing studies did not go unnoticed. It was a pleasure to have her in our program. We can clearly remember her sitting in the front row and sharing her clinical experiences with great empathy, grace, compassion, and care.

As a strong advocate for her patients, she was also a strong mentor for her peers and served every individual with a strong sense of care and empathy in the classroom and at the bedside. Chalyse strives to make a difference at bedside and we are sure this will be the first of many recognitions throughout her nursing career.
