I felt more than comfortable leaving my mom in Cassie's excellent care.
Cassie made us feel like real people, friends, and even family. She not only took the best care of my mom, but her ability to multitask and care for my mom's roommate was spectacular. When mom was admitted to the room, we were just okay with the roommate situation, but Cassie made it not so uncomfortable. The roommate had had a verbal outburst, but Cassie corrected her demeanor and calmed her down. Cassie handled like a pro.

Cassie explained everything to my mom (and the other patient) about their health, what the next step in being admitted was, what to expect day-to-day, what the discharge possibilities were, and so much more. She made the doctor visits clear, explained lab results, vitals, medication, everything- and she did it in a way we understood. She even convinced the roommate to start caring about herself more and she started eating again (not needing to be tube fed). She even got the lady extra ice cream! While the double bed situation was not the best, I felt more than comfortable leaving my mom in Cassie's excellent care. If in the future my mom or any of us need to be in the hospital, we would gladly be on this unit with Cassie. She is a keeper!
