I have nothing but high praise and a great deal of respect for her work ethic and attitude.
Caroline received 3 nominations from patients:

Caroline took care of me during the day after my knee replacement. Her personality and constant smile (I could tell even under her mask!!) were uplifting and positive. She kept up with my personality and it was like having a long-time friend taking care of me. Professionally, Caroline was on the ball and helped us when we had questions and when some unexpected things on test results occurred. She kept us updated and was always there for support. Kudos to Caroline and the team! When I come back for knee #2, I hope we get paired together again!!

Caroline was outstanding! She was polite, she talked to me like a human being and a person, not just a patient. She explained my medications to me and why they were being distributed to me in the manner and amounts they were. She was always polite and smiling and in a good mood. I am well aware of how rude and disrespectful people can be especially to those who work in the public service sector Caroline always was polite and helpful. I felt bad even asking to have her refresh my water. I used to laugh because I felt bad, I was asking for such a simple task. I wasn’t allowed to walk alone, but she was always smiling and advised me why I wasn’t to walk and get out of bed alone without assistance. The entire staff was amazing, but it seemed like Caroline was always my nurse and brought a smile to my face. She was optimistic and encouraged me and upon departure, she was more than helpful when it came to explaining my discharge instructions. I have nothing but high praise and a great deal of respect for her work ethic and attitude. Thank you again Caroline for your outstanding service in the medical field as an RN.

Caroline was my nurse for the majority of the time that I spent at Rush after having spinal fusion surgery. As soon as I saw in the paperwork there is an award like this, I knew I had to attempt a nomination for Caroline, she is very well deserving. My stay kept me until Thanksgiving Day, and it was very busy, but Caroline always made time to get me what I needed, and she always did it with a terrific attitude. It is very apparent that Caroline takes pride in her job and is very good at it. I had a very rough first couple of days post-op and Caroline worked tirelessly to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, I have had several major surgeries and I have had a lot of contact with a variety of nurses at a few different hospitals, and what really sets Caroline apart, is that she does all that she does, above and beyond even, with an exceptional attitude, and that makes someone feel a lot better, especially during such a low time. My wife and I are both so grateful for everything that Caroline did for me during my stay.
