Mom and the providers commented on how calm and collected Bridgett was while caring for her.
In the past 3 months, we have had a newborn and a 15-year-old patient at our Children's Hospital. While Bridgett has been caring for these patients, she was able to calm the parents and put them at ease throughout their hemodialysis treatment. The newborn’s parents, floor nurses, and intensivists commented several times that Bridgett was calm, positive, and provided several answers to their questions.
Most recently, Bridgett was treating the 15-year-old who was misbehaving throughout her care. Mom and the providers commented on how calm and collected Bridgett was while caring for her. She explained the treatment and kept her entertained to the best of her ability while completing the 4 hour long treatment. Even after being called in at 0200 to run this patient for her first treatment, Bridgett then returned to the hospital at 0900 the next day to start the treatment again. She had a positive attitude and was able to maintain her excellent demeanor throughout her care.
