I made a discharge phone call to a patient, MB. I spoke to MB and his spouse for quite a long time. Both raved about the care received at St. Luke's. He had emergency surgery for perforated diverticulum. His wife was especially thankful for the care her husband received from Branden in CVICU. She described Branden as "The best of the best!" and said, "He did an awesome, awesome job!" When he came out of surgery, MB was in extreme pain and was having a lot of anxiety. Branden continuously educated MB and his wife, was encouraging, spoke kindly and softly and always went above and beyond to make MB and his wife feel comfortable. Branden made a big difference in MB's progress after a major surgery.
