I am nearing the end of my education in the DNP-FNP program and Dr. Nickasch has been involved on some level in every semester of my education throughout the program. I am so glad that I chose the graduate program at UW Oshkosh and Dr. Nickasch is one of the reasons I feel this way. She is an exceptional educator and truly deserving of this award. Dr. Nickasch has mastered the art and science of advanced practice and she teaches in a very straight forward way that promotes understanding and builds confidence. I love that she keeps her sense of humor, no matter what we are facing!

In the middle of our education, our cohort was faced with a pandemic, which caused several challenges. Dr. Nickasch was able to creatively adapt our classes so that learning could continue, uninterrupted. In many ways, I think our education was enhanced because of this. She is a role model to all of us and inspires her students to rise to greater levels of scholarship and professionalism. I will always be grateful to her for the instruction, guidance, and wisdom that she has shared these past 3 years.
