Bebe understands her role in the Hyperbaric Unit but constantly looks for additional ways to reassure her patients making sure that their journey, whilst in her care, is trauma-free and as natural and pleasant as can be.
My journey started with a diagnosis of parotid cancer. With a sense of urgency, I was operated on by an expert team of ENT and Plastic Surgeons and that was followed by many caring clinics. It was around this time that I was referred to the Hyperbaric Unit. In all these weeks I was given top care and attention.

Upon arrival at the Hyperbaric Unit both myself and my partner were given as much information about the treatments that were in front of me before commencement. I am coming to the end of my treatment with the Hyperbaric Unit and it’s going to be a wrench saying goodbye to the staff who have become “my family”.

The person I wish to nominate is Bebe Brown who demonstrates a level of compassion to all patients that is truly appreciated. Bebe is not just a nurse but demonstrates a level of care and compassion that goes far beyond the patient's needs or expectations.
My wound cleaning and re-dressings were taken care of each day by Bebe or by one of the other nurses under Bebe’s watchful eye. Bebe understands her role in the Hyperbaric Unit but constantly looks for additional ways to reassure her patients making sure that their journey, whilst in her care, is trauma-free and as natural and pleasant as can be.

It is my pleasure to nominate Bebe Brown as a worthy candidate for a DAISY Award. She is indeed a remarkable Nurse.
