I would love to highlight one of our awesome Same Day Surgery Nurses! Arnold Pass is an experienced nurse who has been with MLH for a long time. Arnold has shown great flexibility and paired with a great attitude this makes him a North Super Star.
Some of the things outside of his normal job duties that he has been asked to do are: Screening associates and visitors at the doors, going from inpatient unit to unit to perform COVID swab testing when new policy came out, going to the ER to do admissions on holding patients, covering the Discharge Lounge in the CC waiting room to receive patients to improve patient DC times and flow, and making return calls to patients from the NRC DC phone call alerts.
I have yet to see or hear Arnold grumble or even hesitate when asked at the spur of the moment to do a different task. He has a heart for our patients and his teamwork is outstanding. I have likely left out many of his other attributes such as the way he performs his day-to-day job, focusing on patient quality, safety, and the patient experience while caring for patients in SDS. He goes above and beyond in all he does!
