Amandeep advocated for me. I will forever be thankful to her for saving my life. I came to Emanuel due to heart problems. The cardiologist ordered a new heart medication and Aman called the cardiologist and respectfully questioned the start of this medication because my heart rate had been dropping and this medication would make it drop even more. The cardiologist told her it was okay to continue, but Aman continued to monitor me and the moment she noticed my heart go lower, she called the cardiologist again, to again report the drop in heart rate and again ask if he was sure he wanted to start this medication. This time, the cardiologist stopped that medication and put me on a different med. Questioning a doctor is hard; calling a doctor twice about the same thing is harder, but Aman advocated for me and did what was best for me. Aman saved my life, and I will forever be thankful for that.
