My wife was admitted for complications during our pregnancy. Allee was her nurse on that day and the following day. The ultrasound revealed that our baby had passed in the night. During those two days with Allee, we realized that she was the nurse of our firstborn two years prior. We immediately reconnected with her--even more so during this situation. Allee was so loving and caring during our grieving and very delicate on the sensitive matters about whether we would take the baby, what funeral home we would use, etc. We latched on to her more like a family member than a medical professional during this time. It is amazing how quickly you can form a bond with someone in a situation like this. I truly believe it is due to Allee's heart which reflects love and compassion for her patients.
