When I couldn’t sleep, he stayed up with me while I read a book and consistently checked on how I was feeling.
He took time out of his day to play many board games with me and spent an hour chatting with my dad, even though he didn’t have to. He dedicated ages to helping me complete word searches as a distraction after my breakfast. When my sister came to visit, my dad was swamped with work while my mom was in the hospital, so Alexander took my sister and me to the games room and kept us entertained for hours. He even offered my sister some of the hospital ice cream because she mentioned she liked it. In addition to all this, he was incredibly friendly and made me feel genuinely cared for. On my second-to-last day as a patient, he took my family and me on a grand tour of the hospital and watched as my sister and I played on the playground. When I couldn’t sleep, he stayed up with me while I read a book and consistently checked on how I was feeling. He shared stories from his home country and went out of his way to make me laugh when I was feeling down. He was very approachable and always had a smile on his face to cheer me up. My family and I will always remember him and everything he did for us.
