Rhea is one of the pioneers who helped advance the inclusive LGBTQ projects we had.
Rhea is an exceptional nurse with a heart of gold. Rhea has been an Advocate employee for over ten years. She worked on 9 Stone prior to becoming an NP. When she worked on the floor, she consistently delivered exceptional care to EVERY patient. She is an excellent wingperson as well. When I say she takes good care of EVERY patient, I mean it. She is one of the pioneers who helped advance the inclusive LGBTQ projects we had. She was the first one to bring up that staff should be more cognizant of patients' pronouns by educating them to provide a visual cue. She inspired the creation of the TGNC door signs.

Nowadays, she is the wound care coordinator, and she does exceptional work. Every patient is meticulously assessed, cared for, and treated. She spends a good amount of time to educate both the patient and staff. She also leads the hospital skin assessment day. Rhea is the type of person that does what she thinks is right and goes for it. She never does any of the good things she does for glory. She is a humble individual, and sometimes she downplays all the work and involvement she does.

I am a firm believer in giving credit to what is due, and believe me, Rhea deserves a DAISY Award. She is not only a coworker to her colleagues, but she is also a friend, to some, even family. Rhea, you are a beacon of light, one of the most compassionate and kindest people I know. I am honored to know you, and you inspire me to be a better person and nurse.
