My mother was moved to the ICU when she was having difficulty breathing and required intubation. My brother, sister, and I remained at our mother's bedside until she died four days later. I am writing you this email to let you know that all of the NSICU nurses that provided care to my mother were outstanding. There was one nurse, however, that stood out from the rest. Thanh-Nhan Nguyen was very competent in his daily tasks of caring for our mother, but what prompted this email to you is that I wanted to commend him for the care and compassion that he displayed to my brother, sister, and me. This was our first loss and we were not prepared for the deep sorrow we felt. Thanh-Nhan showed wisdom and compassion beyond his years of age. As we left the hospital on Wednesday for the last time, I hugged Thanh-Nhan and told him that to tell his mother that she raised a fine son! You were wise in employing this young man. Thank you, Thanh-Nhan, for making such a difficult time a little easier. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
