Terri Stanley, R.N., C.P.N., in the Roger and Debbie Clemens Pediatric Wing (RCW), goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional patient care – which is why she was selected as the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center Campus’ first recipient of the DAISY Award, a program that recognizes nurses who serve as role models to colleagues throughout the profession.
“I’m so humbled by the nomination and honored to be the first winner of this award,” said Stanley. “I truly love what I do, and even though it gets crazy at times and I feel that I can’t do any more, a patient, a parent or a co-worker is placed in my life – which lets me know I am right where I belong!”
Terri was nominated for the award by colleague and manager of the RCW Michele White, R.N. White said, “Terri is a true Angel of Mercy. She really makes a mark in the hearts of her patients and families. For example, we had a patient about a year ago that was on the unit for 2 ½ months. She recently received prosthetic legs and asked Terri to be there for her first steps – and Terri was there to watch it all.”
