My husband and I spent Sunday 4/13 to Friday 4/18 on the Pediatric unit with our three month old foster baby who had RSV. All of the care we received was honestly exceptional but Tami stood out above the rest. You see, on Wednesday 4/16 we found out upon discharge from the hospital our foster baby whom we had raised since he was two days old would be returned to his biological father. While we were happy that this sweet boy would be raised by his dad, our hearts were broken for our own personal loss. We are unable to have children of our own. We were selfishly hoping this foster situation would turn into an adoption. My husband sent me the news of our loss from court and I was all alone in the hospital room. Tami came in right at the exact moment I needed someone and wrapped her loving arms around me and let me sob. She showed such care and compassion. She was truly an angel in my time of need. We cannot say enough good things about our experience at CHOI.
