Salimah is a charge nurse for the HVI IMU. She portrays excellent critical thinking and is a role model for fellow co-workers. She performs extra tasks for the unit to educate nurses, physicians and patients. Salimah is the patient education coordinator and has established educational resources for the unit to access easily. She is constantly working to ensure the unit implements excellent discharge planning. She displays compassion when working with staff members and acknowledges when they go above and beyond in providing excellent patient care.

Salimah is always smiling, liked by others and receives many compliments from patients. One patient wrote, " Thank you for taking the time to just listen to my concerns and put them at ease."
