I am probably the patient no nurse wants to encounter; I guess you can say I am the patient from hell. I am hard-headed, stubborn, and can easily change the nurse into a patient. Enough about me!I was assigned to another nurse who decided to pass me to Monique.Monique quickly sized me up and made me feel like she was on my side (which she was). Her attitudelowered my stress level immediately. Day-to-day, she had the ability to sense my moods and deal with those moods in a professional yet down to earth way, that again made me feel like I had a friend in the hospital. Her skills were a cut above any nurse I have ever encountered. She was gentle yet got the job done the first time. She never talked down to me like I was some idiot, which I probably was quite often. Monique is a gem and you are very lucky to have her at your hospital.

I never fill these out, but I felt that I couldn't leave this hospital without saying that not only is this is the best hospital, but there is one person on your staff who I have to say is a very special person, and what a difference she made in a very bad time in my life. I came here Saturday night just knowing that I was really sick. Not knowing I was going to be admitted for possible heart failure. I was recently diagnosed with depression (major), and severe anxiety. Never had any heart problems. So I was admitted and the doctor said Monday I would have to have two tests and go from there. Feeling alone and scared, anxiety kicking in. My friend said I'll see if I can take you for a walk; she came back saying she was unable to. Five minutes later Monique came through the door with a smile on her face. She listened and gave me the opportunity to walk around the unit. She is such a kind person and took the extra time to calm my fears.
