Lisa has worked at Woman's Hospital for over 20 years. She has worked in the NICU as a staff nurse, and now as a charge nurse for many years. Lisa is very involved in unit and hospital committees. She helps to make sure the bereavement supplies are kept stocked, and she is an active member of the Green Team and Hospital Activities committee. Lisa was a huge part of the success of this year's school supply drive, and also helped raise money for the March for Babies by hosting the Woman's "walk at work" for staff that were working the day of the walk.

While at work, Lisa always has a great attitude and is able to react and adapt to the most difficult situations. Lisa has a reputation for "getting things done." She is passionate about excellent customer service, and often goes above and beyond for her patients and the staff here in the NICU. Lisa doesn't like attention, but she certainly deserves to be recognized for all the hard work she does to take excellent care of our patients, their families, and the staff in the NICU.

...

We have an out of town family in our NICU with some special social needs. Lisa has worked closely to help provide meals and to help them understand what is going on with their child. One evening in particular, the parents were lost/stranded at the downtown Houston bus station with no phone. Lisa went above and beyond to go (with another RN) to the station to make sure they got in their cab. She met them back at the hospital and helped them get settled. She continues to check in on them and try to help them. This situation has required much patience and understanding and Lisa has done it with a smile on her face!
