... Kari worked diligently to help the family members from out of town for one of her patients newly diagnosed with cancer. She not only secured a place to stay at Hope Lodge, but meal vouchers for the next day. After her shift she went out and bought them groceries for their first night!
It was an extra special DAISY celebration because Kari Sayer's proud mother, Laurie Sayer, MSN, RN, CNL from H2 was also in attendance. "I had so much trouble keeping it a secret!" explains Laurie. "When the DAISY banner went up on 4 Lacks, Kari asked me if I knew who it was going to be, I had to say, I'm not on that committee."
