I am a staunch believer that exemplary behavior should be lauded and it is with such intention I take time to communicate how impressed I was with the attending nurse. Having been hospitalized for approximately eight days, immobilized, isolated, in pain, and unsure of many things, Jameson was a breath of fresh air. His professional deport and his demeanor, coupled with his capacity to forge a genuine unfeigned therapeutic alliance, bolstered my confidence. His attention to detail and the confidence he exuded, always looking me in the eye when he spoke, engendered trust and his projected efficacy assuaged my nervousness and quieted my spirit. Jameson explaining to me procedures, medicines to be administered, and his authentic presence allowed me to feel safe, to sleep, heal, eat, hydrate, and get better. Jameson demonstrated that he held dear the edicts of nursing, exemplifying the healing profession with dignity. He is an asset to the profession, a beacon and a template to be modeled, and for that I am deeply grateful for all that he brought to the bedside interaction that promoted my transitioning from hospital back home.
