Palliative Care was called in this weekend to participate in my care. The news they delivered was difficult to receive. I have End Stage Pulmonary Fibrosis, and they say I have 6 months to 1 year left. Realizing the situation, Greg suggested and gave me medication for anxiety. He then sat by my bed, held my hand, and allowed me to talk through this difficult news I had just received. I know he had other patients and was very busy because I heard his beeper several times. At that particular time, he made me feel like I was the only patient he had. He didn't seem in a hurry and was completely focused on my needs. I am so thankful that Greg was assigned to my care that day. He touched my life in a way I will never forget.

Over the past few years, I have been admitted several times to Mission Hospital due to surgeries and various other reasons. I must say the care and compassion I was given by Greg was exceptional--above and beyond. He was compassionate and very, very caring. While no one likes being in the hospital, it's nice to know that your staff makes it so much better than I can explain or give them credit for…..especially RN Greg Harris who made my stay most pleasant. If I need to be hospitalized again, I would only choose Mission Hospital. As a result of my conversations with Greg, I have successfully quit smoking.
