... I was very ill when I was admitted April 1 to St. Anthony's. Brittani was my special nurse in so many ways. In addition to being knowledgeable, skilled, efficient, attentive, professional with excellent bedside nuring, she was so much more kind and compassionate with a personal friendly touch. Her beautiful caring smile always comforted and reassured me I was in skilled hands with her special loving care. She always anticipated my needs explaining and keeping me (86) and my 90 year old husband informed. At the time I was to transfer to another unit, Brittani gave me a hug and wished me the best.

While on the transporter cart, my husband told me Brittani had given him a little gift bag for me. He took out and showed me the very special get well card from "Nurse Brittani". I was so touched it brought tears to my eyes. I'm certain she never expected to see or hear from me again. Days later (I was so ill and so much was happening to me) my husband gave me the gift bag from Brittani, inside was a precious little ceramic "angel to watch over me". This very thoughtful and caring act on her part touched my heart and I'm certain aided in my recovery. I was discharged 11 days from admission, on April 11th. During my lengthy 2 month recovery period at home, "my little angel" has been by my side at all times to comfort me and make me smile.

I feel Brittani is a role model for all nurses and deserves the "DAISY Award".
