Blaine is the chairman of our Unit Based Council, a charge nurse, and most recently he has completed all required training and is now taking care of our most complex patient population, our "hearts".
We commend Blaine Lytle for the enormous impact that he has made on one very special patient and his family at the end of his short life. This patient was ill for the entirety of his life and these comments about Blaine came at the very end of his 32 yearlong battle with his disease. Sufficient to say this family has met their fair share of nurses.

My nephew was a patient in the ICU and I was amazed at what a wonderful and caring person Blaine is, he is the nicest nurse I have ever met. God bless people who make us feel good in the hospital.

Blaine was so caring and loving towards my son while he was struggling for air related to an infection in the lungs from aspirating! He welcomed us into the patient room and kept comforting him in any way that he possibly could. Blaine took care of his pain and discomfort by being the sweetest nicest nurse I have ever seen in my entire life. He is awesome and full of life and made all of us feel hope as he encouraged my son to fight and get better. There are not many nurses like him on earth; he is one of a kind. We will never forget his kindness; he absolutely deserves this DAISY Award, thank you so much.

Blaine made his patient feel like he wasn't in the hospital, at times asking questions about his life, and even came to visit him when they moved him to a different room. Blaine gave us all hope.
