Alexandra (Alex) Schoen joined the DAISY Foundation in January 2017 and serves as a Program Director for our International partners. As a Program Director, Alex serves as a DAISY expert, supporting her existing DAISY Partners while also providing information, resources, and support to those interested in learning more about becoming a DAISY Partner. After serving many of our domestic partners for 4+ years, Alex began serving our international partners in September 2021.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Healthcare Administration and brings a unique perspective to her role, having previously implemented The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at two DAISY Partners in Toledo, Ohio. Alex previously served as an on-site DAISY Coordinator for both programs, before coming to work for The DAISY Foundation.
Alex lives in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio, with her husband, Ben, and son, Graham. She considers herself a ‘foodie,’ a book lover, and is an avid Notre Dame football and Michigan State basketball fan. She enjoys spending any free time she has with her family and friends.
