The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is the voice of Nurses and Midwives in Ireland. Implementing the Organisation's motto "Working Together" the INMO provides a unified voice for the professions of nursing and midwifery and provides strong leadership in matters affecting the standing of the two professions in the eyes of the wider community.
The Organisation provides comprehensive industrial relations, professional education, professional advocacy, professional defence, information, and other services to our members in every workplace in Ireland and through our headquarters and regional offices.
The INMO is affiliated to several national bodies including the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, the National Women's Council of Ireland, and a range of other organisations whose work is of concern to the INMO. Internationally the INMO is affiliated to several organisations including the International Council of Nurses, the International Confederation of Midwives, and the European Federation of Nurses. Arising from these affiliations, the INMO also seeks to influence the wider policy agenda and matters of importance and concern to the Organisation's membership.
The INMO is a constantly growing, and evolving, Organisation always seeking to meet the needs of the professions and its membership in the areas of industrial relations, professional development, professional advocacy, education, and research.
