Chamberlain University is proud to be the Founding Educational Partner of The DAISY Foundation. Together, we share a mission to elevate compassionate care, recognize extraordinary nurses, and strengthen the future of the profession.
This partnership connects our students and faculty to growth, purpose, and the heart of what it means to be a nurse. Together, we’re creating opportunities that inspire, uplift, and move the profession forward.
How Our Collaboration Supports Nurses
More Recognition, More Often
As the nation’s largest nursing school, Chamberlain honors more nursing students and faculty with DAISY Academic Awards than any other school.
Tuition Support for Honorees
DAISY honorees at Chamberlain in eligible programs receive a 5% tuition savings scholarship to continue their nursing education. This scholarship can be combined with other eligible scholarships. Speak with an Enrollment Representative to learn more.
A Course on Compassion
Nurses know compassion is essential. At Chamberlain, we focus on putting that skill into action. Through Chamberlain Care® and our collaboration with The DAISY Foundation, we emphasize emotional intelligence, empathy, and presence.
Our co-created continuing education course, Journey to Extraordinary Compassionate Care, gives nurses tools to explore the long-term impact of a caring culture on patients, families, nurses, and students. Learners explore Swanson’s Caring Theory, hear DAISY honoree stories, and gain insight into the mission and vision of The DAISY Award. By helping nurses build stronger, more trusting relationships with patients, compassionate care also leads to better communication, better support, and ultimately, better patient outcomes. This course earns CE credits for just $15. A free version without the CE credits is available here.
Research With Real Reach
In collaboration with The DAISY Foundation and other universities, we’ve co-sponsored studies on the long-term impact of meaningful recognition in nursing education and practice, demonstrating how recognition helps strengthen care and improve patient outcomes.
Chamberlain is the largest school of nursing in the U.S., and that scale allows our work with The DAISY Foundation to reach more nurses, students, and faculty across the country. Together, we’re celebrating what makes nursing special—and investing in the people who carry it forward.
