Over 10 years ago, we launched our grant program by creating the J. Patrick Barnes Grants to fund research and evidence-based practice projects. This endeavor linked our yearning to impact the treatment of patients with auto-immune diseases or cancer and our passion for the compassionate work nurses do in healthcare facilities all over the world. Over the years, we have added additional lines of grant funding, including Health Equity Grants for Addressing Social Determinates of Health, and Medical Mission Grants for DAISY Honorees. Most recently, in 2022, we started another Health Equity Grant, Co-Sponsored by the Ann L Hendrich Charitable Fund in memory of Jim W. Hendrich, for research and evidence-based practice projects that focus on improving care and promoting healthy aging of the older adult.
