Wisconsin League for Nursing, Inc. (WLN)

WLN Logo

The Wisconsin League for Nursing, Inc. (WLN) was incorporated on June 23, 1954 to foster development and improvement of organized nursing services through the coordination of nurses, allied health professionals, and citizens to meet the health care needs of the community.
WLN is recognized as full affiliate constituent of the National League for Nursing, Inc. (NLN), which the WLN adopts the bylaws and policies consistent with the NLN. The WLN supports and implements the mission of the NLN by helping advance quality nursing education to meet the unique needs of diverse populations in an ever changing health care environment at the constituent level.

Each year the WLN prepares and monitors progress towards a strategic plan. The strategic plan is comprised of four goals which specify current activities and future direction for the organization. The NLN reviews the strategic plan on a yearly basis.

GOAL 1: Enhance WLN's impact as a recognized leader in nursing education in the State of Wisconsin.
GOAL 2: Build a diverse, sustainable, member-led organization with the capacity to deliver our mission effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with our values.
GOAL 3: Be the voice of Wisconsin nurse educators and champion their interests in political, academic, and professional arenas.
GOAL 4: Promote evidence-based nursing education and the scholarship of nursing.

We would like to sincerely thank the Greater Milwaukee Foundation Jeannette McKelvey Fund for their ongoing financial support of our organization!
