Dr. An has actively engaged students in understanding the different levels of evidence and how important it is to examine and apply the evidence-base in clinical practice. She has made course content come alive for students by having them apply themselves in gathering evidence related to a clinical problem. This process has strengthened their ability to critically examine normal routines in clinical practice and see out alternative solutions to problems that they face in patient care. It is very apparent that Dr. An wants each student to be successful and learn as much as possible from her courses. She has spent a lot of time and effort to make relevant materials available and to provide students with access to resources that they can use throughout their career. She has designed the assignments so that they are directly applicable to clinical practice and to help them be successful in improving patient care.
