"Jill Grooms has always been a bright and bubbly faculty member throughout my years at St. Cate's. Even in the early years, I remember being welcomed by her. Through her cheerleader approach to connecting with students as well as providing opportunities for learning and growth, Jill has been monumental to my success (and now completion) of nursing school."
"She has excellent interpersonal skills. She is someone I have looked up to since the day I met her. She is incredibly enthusiastic about her job both as a nurse and an educator. She is always willing to help wherever needed and is incredibly compassionate. Jill understands what it is like as a nursing student and does her best to try and make it a little easier on all of us. She truly is a wonderful person, inside and out."
"Jill has been incredibly helpful in educating me on how to be a good nurse. She was extremely informative and her vast experience has made her the perfect instructor. Jill always made class and lecture fun, keeping us on our toes. She knew how to be strict with us and how to be there when we needed her most. Because of her hard work, compassion, and love teaching, Jill is more than deserving of this award."
"Jill is the best nursing professor in the Nursing program. She teaches clinical at the junior level and pushes students to think critically by referencing patho to understand why the person is experiencing symptoms of their diagnosis. Jill is always positive and delivers constructive criticism that allows a student to grow and become proficient in skills. At the senior level she teaches lecture and lab which allows her students to learn from all the different areas she has worked. Her critical care skills and stories are great! She is a very good teacher as well as a great supporter. She goes above and beyond for her students by extending office hours, answering e-mails in a timely fashion and reaches out to students with positive feedback to promote confidence as a student nurse."
