Yasmin has been my nurse during my month-long stay in the hospital. Throughout that time she has shown me (and others, my neighbours in the ward) unwavering friendship and compassion whilst carrying out her job with professionalism, she is also very personable and friendly. In between her tasks she finds time to check in with us, find out how we are doing and have a laugh. Yasmin takes particular care to ease our fears or make us giggle if we are anxious - but always takes our concerns very seriously.
Whilst in Talbot Butler I have spent a lot of time on intravenous steroids and other medication, this has meant many cannulas which have caused me much stress and bruising. During my most stressed occasions, Yasmin has spent time with me to calm me down. She also took great care with the procedures and paid great mind to my pain helping me through it all.
I have noticed that she is a fantastic mentor to student nurses; Yasmin is a very good teacher and communicator, imparting her experience to help the students to become empathetic caregivers of the future.
Yasmin is an Extraordinary Nurse. She looks after patients as if they were her own relatives - which is what everyone wishes for their loved ones when they have to come into the hospital.
