I am personally handwriting this letter to you and the entire hospital management on behalf of my brother P. My brother was transferred from the critical unit to the 4th floor. I was worried after his care on the med/surg unit. But here comes Xenia when she first introduced herself, I did not realize how lucky I was to get such a great nurse to take care of my brother. She took all her time to answer all my questions about his care and also reassured me not to worry that he moved to 4South. She really calmed me down and made me feel relaxed. She even offered me a snack and drinks. Thank you.
P and I and my entire family want to say a big thank you. I want to let you know that your expertise proves that nurses are just as important as doctors or any other healthcare provider. If it weren't for you, I don't know how things would have turned out. You treated my brother like he was as important as your family member, you truly care for your patients and it shows. I appreciate all that you did for him. Thank you for taking your time especially to explain to me the benefits of all those weird name medications he was taking, you made everything look easy.
As the theme for Kaiser is "thrive" I want this organization to know that you are thriving above and beyond to make your patients comfortable. The more days my brother spend at the hospital the more I got to know how magnificent of a nurse you are. I remember I saw you with a little pin on your badge, you told me you were the recipient of The DAISY Award last year. You truly are a DAISY Nurse.
Because your caring has touched so many lives, your skill has relieved those in pain, and your devotion has brightened so many. Thank you for all you do.
