Vicky is a very professional nurse and I greatly appreciate the care she provided for my mother. She knows her job very well. I appreciate that she cared enough to treat my mother with dignity and respect even though she was blind, very hard of hearing, and spoke Spanish most of the time due to her declining health. I liked that she advised my mother when she was about to do anything. She was also patient enough to repeat her statements to my mother when she couldn't hear instead of just ignoring her. She was thorough when dispensing her medications because I didn't have to remind her of a medication she may have forgotten to dispense. I felt comfortable when she was assigned to my mother because I knew she was respectful, thorough and professional. I was impressed by how well she treated and wrapped my mother's wounds. She did an excellent job at wrapping her heel and I never worried that it may come loose and then create a larger problem. These may be small or insignificant examples, but they mean a great deal to my mother and me. I have been taking care of my mother for 20 years and she means the world to me. So I expect too much from nurses and sometimes I may step on someone's toes and I apologize. I would like to thank Vicky for always being professional, patient, caring, and remaining focused even when I may have been difficult.
