I came to St. Cloud Hospital with a bowel obstruction to the ER. Everybody there was amazing with the care and quick response to the nature of my visit. I was in extreme pain and time was of the essence. When I was finally stable and assigned a room, Valerie was my nurse for most of my stay. I really appreciate all of her knowledge and compassion that she instilled in me.
Valerie was able to explain everything that was happening to me, from routine checks to procedures that were being performed. She knew exactly what to do. She even explained to me what to expect in advance as to what they were going to do to me. This was very helpful as I was able to prepare myself for the procedures that were going to be performed.
Valerie was always attentive to my needs and when I was in severe pain. I could see in her eyes the sorrow she felt for me. She was quick to make me comfortable. Trust me, a hospital is not the best place to take time off of work and family and spend away for a few days. But Valerie went out of her way to make me comfortable as she could. I really think you have a winner on your team with Valerie Cruz. Everyone worked hard to make my stay as pleasant as it could be, so I am grateful to the whole team, but in my eyes, Valerie really stood above her duty. Thank you.
