...I came in for a repeat C-section. During the triage process, Tracy came in and started my IV, etc. Tracy helped deliver my niece and nephew and was on when I had my son in 2010. I jokingly asked her if she was going to assist with delivery since she had been present for all the grandkids my parents have. So Tracy scrubs up and heads to the OR with me. Delivering a baby where you work can be awkward enough when things go smoothly so when they don't it's very exciting to say the least.

My Spinal did not go so well. Tracy was doing her best to see me through the spinal insertion. The first epidural I had with my son took several attempts to get right. So needless to say, I was very nervous and anxious about this go round. Tracy was very supportive. Right after my spinal was in, I vaso-vagaled to a heart rate of zero! My heart rate was back up quickly after atropine. I was very aware of what was going on. I was scared and still very anxious. Tracy held my hand the remainder of the delivery. She never once left my side. I know she had a job to do to assist her co-workers and I am aware of the horrible position she sat/stood in while holding my hand all that time.

Tracy wiped my tears, calmed my fears and never left my side. God sent Tracy to me that day. She will never know how much her compassion meant to me. I am truly grateful for Tracy.
