My husband, the patient, and I have been on this unit now for almost 5 days. On two occasions Tracey has been on the floor. The first time she was, in fact, my husband's nurse. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and answered questions and just took excellent care of my husband, treating him with kindness and respect, treating him like a human and not like a number. Tracey showed so much concern for my husband. My husband suffered his first ever panic attack and 30 minutes later he suffered another. Though Tracey was not his nurse at the time she came to his room immediately and stayed with him, asking him questions and showing concern and empathy. This to me is the true meaning of a nurse. Tracey made our stay here more welcoming and pleasurable and we all know being stuck in a hospital bed is uncomfortable. Kudos to Tracey, she is one of a kind!
