Tim is a Registered Nurse (R.N-c) in Paediatrics & Paediatric Intensive Care and joined Cerner in March 2015. I had the pleasure of meeting Tim at CHC November 2014, he was a last minute addition to a prospect client group (Guy's and St Thomas Hospital). We connected straight away (as nurses do!) and he very quickly recognized a gap in expertise in Cerner UK and put the wheels in motion to explore opportunities to join the Cerner team.
He is a Clinical Consultant and since joining the team has been leading on the development of UK Paediatric content and educating peers on workflows and management of Paediatrics and young people, as he constantly reminds us "Children are not mini adults".
Last year we held the very first Paediatric Forum for Europe just a few months into his appointment and Tim lead with both the planning and presenting during the event. He was adamant that we transformed the Collaboration Centre to be "child friendly", we managed to transform the ICU room into a PICU, with cots, toys etc.; he even "borrowed" his children's toys for the day and strategically placed them around the centre!
Despite not having any formal presentation skills training and only being in post for 4 months, Tim co presented a Paediatric Patient Journey in a way that enthused both clients and associates. The event was a tremendous success for both existing clients and prospects from the UK and Europe and has put the focus on the much needed development in our region.
He is extremely passionate about nursing and not just in his specialty, Tim is assigned to clients working on the deployment of adult Millennium workflows and on daily basis is championing the role informatics, in the delivery of better and safer patient care. He is very much respected by his peers, executives and his clients and is credible during any client engagement.
Tim is working above and beyond to ensure that Cerner is known a world class transformation partner for paediatrics in Europe.
