Terri was working on night shift and you would never know it! She comes in to meet her patients bright eyed as if it were first thing in the morning and she is available to them and their families, all during her shift. I was personally lucky enough to have her as my nurse the night I had a C-section. Not only did I have a C-section, but then my daughter was taken to the NICU where I was unable to be with her, making it a very scary process. She was right by my side when I arrived at the mother baby unit and explained everything to me in great deal. She was amazing. She assessed me making sure that I was okay emotionally and physically. She spent hours with us that night, being a new mom is so scary and feeling like you have no clue what to do is even worse, but not with her. She made sure to tell me everything to watch, listen and be ready for and assured me there were no dumb questions. By the end of the night, I did not what her to leave. I was worried the next nurse would not be as good as her, but boy was I wrong. She brought the daytime nurse in our room at the end of her shift and introduced her to us and gave a full report on our night to the oncoming nurse. I am also a nurse at Memorial and having that confidence you get from a nurse providing a bedside report is great. She came back a night later even when she didn't have us as patients just to say hi and see how we were doing. Terri is a great nurse.
