My story about Mrs. Tasha M. I didn't have the pleasure of first meeting Tasha like my brothers did, however, I did get the chance to meet her as she was ending her shift from caring for my mama. The amount of love, positivity, and kindness she showed my mom was none like I had never seen before. She was sweet and gentle to her. She made her laugh. She made her smile. She truly treated my mom not as a patient, but as a friend. It could have been as if she had known my mom forever. My nieces told me when my mom passed out, Tasha heard about it and she rushed into her room by her bedside to make sure she was okay. When my mom got moved to a different floor, she didn't have to stop by on her way home from a very long shift, I'm sure, to spread her life of love. She shared her jokes or even hopped into my mom's bed to take a picture with her. Tasha didn't have to, but she did it because she cared.
Tasha said there are very few people who touch her heart and she said my mama was one of them. Little does she know, she touched ours. There are very few nurses who you come in contact with who you can just tell by their personality that they love what they do. They love caring for people. Making them laugh. Making them smile. Maybe even making them cry a few of them happy tears. Spreading hope and love. There are only a few nurses who will stay with you forever and Tasha is one of them. She is one we will never forget. Thank you so much, Tasha. Thank you for caring for my mama as if she were your own. Thank you for making us laugh when we had just been crying all day. Thank you for your positivity, life and hope you brought back into that night. You are truly one Extraordinary Nurse who I had the pleasure of meeting and I pray to God that he continues to bless you all the days of your life.
