Susan was very in tune with me as a patient. She recognized that I was having an allergic reaction and alerted the doctors on-call because my doctor was in surgery. When the doctors thought my symptoms were a reaction to the laundry detergent used on the bedding, Susan persisted and escalated the issue to her management. I was ultimately removed from the medicine and given treatment for the reaction. This all took place during the night shift. I was exhausted, feeling very sick from the reaction, recovering from a c-section, and trying to care for a newborn. Susan supported my husband and me in caring for our baby while watching over me throughout the night. She made me feel comfortable when I was scared and upset. I am very grateful that she was my nurse in this situation. Susan is a dedicated professional that is a champion in patient care.
